1969 Season 1:

Synopsis:

This six-part docu-series weaves together rarely told stories of the moon landing, Manson murders, the Chappaquiddick scandal and Woodstock with that of Nixon's first year in office, John Lennon's Bed-Ins for Peace, FBI shootouts with black activists, and the Stonewall Uprising. Gripping firsthand accounts of people who lived through the time reveal a snapshot of how these events came together at the same dizzying, chaotic time. Grammy-nominated artist Salaam Remi pays tribute to the era.
